Liberal candidate for Forrest, Nola Marino, has been told to lift her act or face being dropped.
The Geographe Gazette has learnt that former Liberal candidate for the state seat of Collie-Wellington, Craig Carbone, has informed Nola Marino that she is within "inches" of being dropped as the candidate for Forrest.
Mr Carbone has also reportedly told Mrs Marino that she must door knock in the more Labor areas of the division, such as, Collie and Withers in Bunbury and not just focus on Liberal areas. Mrs Marino has also been instructed to personally contribute money to her campaign and not just rely on Liberal Party funds.
Nola Marino was pushed into the candidacy following allegations against the original candidate Philippa Reid, who was forced to withdraw after her associations with former Senator Noel Crichton-Browne were revealed. This allegation follows media reports in September that the Liberal's were concerned about the prospect of losing Forrest to Independent Noel Brunning.
